I’ve seen lots of large birds of prey circling the harbour here in Yokohama, and have been told that they are tonbi, or black kite. They have the same threat to snack food as herring gulls do in the UK: so much so that there are warning stickers on the bins!
横浜の港を歩いてみると、たくさんの大きな鳥が飛んでいるのを見かける。それはとんび（とび）だという。イギリスにいるカモメと同じで、人の食べ物を狙っている。だから、ゴミ箱にこんな注意書きまで！
